Do not buy this camera it is very poorly made

I was very happy with the purchase of this camera and was pleased when the price dropped from $300 to $100. Unfortunately a bad buy. Focusing is not possible; even with the flash on, images are dark; and the third time I used it, one of the pins holding the viewfinder broke. The best experience I had was with a 50 year old Polaroid Land 100 I found cleaning my mum's house - it still takes great pictures! Save yourself the headache (and heartache) and skip this baby.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Communication with seller

Excellent value for money and quality. A fun and versatile camera.

This is a great instant camera!. The ergonomics are great, the Bluetooth interface gives you access to full manual controls and a host of other creative modes. The lens quality is good and the new film from Polaroid Originals is really good. No worse than the old Polaroid Time Zero film, although it still takes a lot longer to develop. Image quality is important and this combination of camera and film is really excellent. At the current price, which is many times lower than the original, this…

Used to Polaroid and very happy with this addition!

I don't know what most people expect from a Polaroid but it was a great purchase. $45 and you get a vintage camera aesthetic with advanced features to use with a paired smartphone that works flawlessly for me. The photos come out the same as my old Polaroid or even better. Clearly I'm shocked. I also have a Polaroid SX-70 that takes 600 film so it has some competition. The battery life sucks, the viewfinder takes some getting used to, again my sx-70, when I look into the viewfinder I can see…

Amazing value for money

I feel like I've spent so much on polaroid film and film cameras over the past 2+ years. I've tried buying an old OneStep, then a OneStep2, and then an old SX-70, but I can't stop. Either the batteries are empty too quickly, or the film is not well exposed. Luckily, my love for Polaroid will always prevail. I remember seeing the I-1 launch but didn't want to invest. This went on until the price dropped and it didn't look like a big financial gamble, try it now. I've taken it on several trips…

Judging by some of the reviews, I expected the worst.

But the camera isn't actually as bad as I thought it would be. Everything worked as described. The open box experience was cool. The design of the product is well executed and neat. To my surprise, the app worked great. I had no problems with the magnetic viewfinder - it worked as it should - lifted up when the lid was pressed and folded down with a few folds. The loading problem seems to be one of the issues that a lot of people complained about, but from my experience. So far I've found that…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Useless features

From a reluctant instant camera expert

Over the last three years I've spent about $3,000 looking for the perfect instant camera. I'm not proud of it, even a little embarrassed, but it makes me a reluctant expert on instant photography and modern instant cameras. I have three cameras from MiNT, one from a small production company Mercury Cameras, several Lomography cameras and this Impossible I-1. I love my MiNT RF70 (uses Instax Wide, about $900) and I love my Mercury camera (also a little over $900). I also like my MiNT SLR670…
