There are no more shops selling plastic straws in my area. And restaurants too. The paper straws get dirty and who knows what kind of glue they use to hold them together. At least let us choose! Now I have plastic straws again! It is great! I carry them with me wherever I go. No more paper straw! To cheer!

Not much to write about straws, but they are excellent straws. They are individually packed in sturdy plastic containers, which allows them to be hygienically stored in glove boxes, bags, etc. They have a good diameter so you can sip your drink with ease. My family doesn't like that restaurants don't offer straws anymore. Who would want to put their lips to the glass that was just held by the same person who just took the money and cleared the dirty dishes from the other table!?

So my occasional use of straws in restaurants and takeaways is obviously harming animals and destroying the planet, even though the takeaway wrappers are a big pile of plastic. Cue paper straws. They feel warm and fluffy. You rescue sea turtles while hacking the ground. This pleasant feeling lasts about five minutes as the paper stick begins to dissolve into a drink. That's rough. Enough. I now carry some of these beautiful individually wrapped plastic straws in my purse for use wherever paper…
