So my occasional use of straws in restaurants and takeaways is obviously harming animals and destroying the planet, even though the takeaway wrappers are a big pile of plastic. Cue paper straws. They feel warm and fluffy. You rescue sea turtles while hacking the ground. This pleasant feeling lasts about five minutes as the paper stick begins to dissolve into a drink. That's rough. Enough. I now carry some of these beautiful individually wrapped plastic straws in my purse for use wherever paper straws are available. You are fantastic. Tablemates have asked for one, and they're cheap enough that I'm happy to serve them. The straws themselves are of good quality and work as they should. They are suitable for restaurant glasses or medium-sized cups, but are not long enough for really large take-away cups. The packaging holds up well and hits the table with a few smacks. Just all round good product and good value for money.
