So far so good - coaxial speakers

They fit perfectly and come with a two point mounting plate. They sound good, feel good and look good together. The only oddity is that unless you're tying it to a crossover for a 6.5-inch finish where you don't need it, the power cord must be cut off the crossover. .

Pros
  • are great
Cons
  • New competitors have arrived

A great addition to the Kappa component set.

Great addition to the Infinity Kappa 60csx kit I installed, they added the mids/highs that I was missing. They are connected directly to the crossover. Changed the crossover to 3-way. Overall a really great package. I'm not sure how anyone would like her alone.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • No paint required

Phenomenal sound in speakers

These speakers are missing from every system! All the smallest details can be heard in the music, especially the vocals. Words you may not have understood before are heard more clearly. Everything from explosions to snare drums sounds very clear. I've been involved with car audio since the 80s. I missed that.

Buy from local retailers instead

Arrived with a damaged speaker that started smoking upon installation. Lots of good things about ordering online when I now have a semi knocked down car and have to wait to send it back, wait for it to be processed, then order again and wait for it to get here. I can't leave my car torn up for weeks. In such situations, it is best to purchase from your local dealer so that a warranty issue can be resolved immediately.

Pros
  • Lots of good vibes
Cons
  • sad packaging

Harsh Sound: Coaxial Speakers

I wanted these. They look like quality riders and I've had good luck with the Infinity in the past. Bought these speakers to replace the Bose speakers in the front door of an Infinity Q70. The stock Bose sounded muddy, and after replacing all three speakers in each front door, you really only hear those 2-inch speakers, which don't sound smooth at all. At higher volumes, these speakers are painful to listen to. I don't know what to do, I think I'll try the standard 2 inch Infinity 6x9 component

Pros
  • Nice Packaging
Cons
  • Low Maintenance

Heavy, mutes other speakers

I love Infinity speakers! But KAPPA 20-MX is a complete flop! Unless you have a special increased DPS, a hard ring around 6k will simply kill the SQ. What I don't understand about this product is that Infinity add a special crossover to it, why! Why? If Harmon Kardon fixed the ringing in the crossover, it makes no sense. Also in the box you get a standard wiring harness that connects to the inlet of the crossover, which doesn't fit my Dodge and had to be cut and spliced, NO polarity indicated…

I love her. They completed my system

As has been said here these mids get very loud with plenty of clarity for vocals and strings in acoustic and soft sections. I've discussed the cost of adding these components to my Infinity 60csx front soundstage components in my Tundra, but now I can't even imagine hearing my new system without them. Very effective and extremely musical. You'll probably need to EQ them a bit in the 6k to 8k range and adjust the crossover slope with a bit more bass as they can be shrill if not adjusted…

Great for the money

These things sound great. I included them in a set of 165 focals to complete a three-way system with a standard crossover. I have another set of Infinity 6.5 and Focal 6 x 9 coaxial speakers with a 12" Focal subwoofer. It fills the entire soundstage very well. Definitely, but again. I have about 45-50 ways to easily reach them. They fit fits nicely in the corner of the dashboard of the Nissan Altima 2017. I want to use all my screws but it fits without worrying about it going anywhere with the…

The Next Level In Automotive Electronics

So, a few things. I have a 2018 Tundra wired to drive the dash speakers from the head unit and the other speakers from a factory "amplifier" under the seat. First, I replaced the speakers in the front doors with two-way Kappa components and those in the rear doors with reference infinity coaxial cables. All are driven by a 4-band amplifier rated at 75W RMS per channel. I turned off the speakers in the dashboard. This gave a great sound but seemed a bit lacking in the mids, mainly vocals and…
