very inaccurate Best in thermometer

I got this thermometer for melting copper, I need a high temp reader. only at 876 degrees. It is impossible for liquid copper to have a specific temperature. it's nowhere near the right temperature.

Replace the supplied 9V battery, it is very weak.

First of all I must warn anyone who is purchasing this item: DO NOT USE THE BATTERY INCLUDED. The included battery doesn't work with all devices, you get outrageously high readings, or the device restarts when you press and hold the shutter button. After changing the battery everything works fine. I haven't tested it at high temperatures.

DO NOT BUY! ABSOLUTELY TRASH!

I ordered this product but neither the lasers nor the flashlight worked. I ordered a replacement A and after 2 days the laser and reversing lights stopped working. I am trying to contact the company to no avail. I then contacted Revain and they were of no help and I still have to return both thermometers, losing a lot of money in the process due to downtime and lost productivity.

Not exactly. Doesn't measure high temperature

So I want to apologize to all the people who wrote reviews saying it didn't work. I should have listened. I did not do it. It's simple and clear. That does not work. This is incorrect. I ran some tests and found that aluminum melts at 600F. Em no. It's 1200F, a very hot fire was burning and it was recording the inside temperature at 500F. Em no. It must be a lot hotter. There were white-hot coals. (More than 1600F).

Cannot reach high temperatures

Bought this item for use in an aluminum foundry. While I wasn't expecting absolute accuracy in this area, I had to laugh to find that the reading didn't even exceed 3 digits! Thus he cannot show the declared range of 1472 F! To put the matter in doubt, I went ahead and tested it in Celsius along with the well-known type K thermocouple. Easy to use and accurate

I love this thermometer! I'm really pissed that I didn't get any of these a few years ago because they make cooking so much easier! It was so ready to use that all I had to do was point to it and press a button and it would display the temperature on the screen. The display is quite large so there was no problem seeing anything on the screen and it's ideal for the elderly or those with poor eyesight. UI difficult on some things, settings useless, doesn't work in cold weather

Good: I like the circle of the lasers and that the measuring range doesn't get too big with distance : During the last cold weather I was able to use this, to determine how close pipes and engines are to freezing, but this gave wildly inaccurate results.
