This did not prevent water from entering my setup. The car was stationary on a rainy weekend, went to the start and water was collecting in the lower bend of the intake pipe. I can't blame this cover, but it didn't help me at all. Think 3 is for SRI only.

Check sizes on Injen website before buying I bought a small one then said I would buy a smaller filter from local auto parts, it turned out the smaller filter didn't fit so I did I ordered this after checking the sizes and now it fits well. I worry less when I ride in the rain

This is my second hydroshield for my Injen IS1200P intake manifold. My WRX doesn't have an airbox so unfortunately water gets into the air intake. This little gem does a great job of preventing accidental water ingress and doesn't pollute my MAF. The first simply lost its hydrophobic properties after a few years.

I was a bit skeptical about how well they actually work but they block water much better than I expected and as an added bonus they keep out larger debris in the folds of your filter I highly recommend to buy it and use it from day one just because it makes cleaning your filter that much easier in the future.

The previous owner of my Tiburon installed a cold air intake and carbon fiber hood vents left it open to incoming water. After washing my car for the first time and not wanting it to start, I knew I had to do something to stop water getting in. It worked great, I haven't had a problem since installing it as water got into my cold air intake and my car stalled. I haven't noticed any performance degradation either.

This was my second order for a cold air intake cover as living in Washington some sort of permeation is a must so I have the cheaper Water Guard first tried this did a very poor job on my sink which was returned immediately. But this Ingen passes the shell test before they put it on my car, it fits pretty well but they have no chance of falling off. I've been installing it over an AEM dry filter for about 2 years now. don't get wet at all. When I recently cleaned my filter, I double-checked the water resistance. Now it has no impregnation and a few small holes in the material for no apparent reason. I only reinstalled it thinking it could still act as a pre-filter to keep the filter clean.
