🔧 Universal Short Ram Cold Air Intake 3-Inch Inlet (76mm) - Chrome Open Top Air Filter, Red Review

was pretty darn hard to put on the whistle even though I used a slightly oversized filter, the whistle was 2.75, this filter inlet was 3 inches, it was like fighting an alligator for two hours. I almost gave up the inlet, obviously not 3 inches. .. then it was in the engine compartment for about 4 weeks before it suddenly started to crack, bits of paper fell everywhere and i was afraid of swallowing some of them, such bad quality happens more often lately.

I bought a cold air intake system for my Wrangler, which I often use off-road. Constant contact with dirt, dust and moisture led to rapid wear of the original filter (along with leakage of brake fluid). I quickly realized that replacing this filter was quite expensive and looked for cheaper options. I chose it because of the design, the filter properties, the ease of cleaning and the price. These types of filters are much easier to replace than standard filters once installed, open the box and cut off the back of your hand lol. They're easy to replace, but cleaning up is a bucket of hot water and dish soap. Then dry and lightly oil again. I use K&N Red Oil Spray. Then let it dry and reinstall. Or at 2 replace the dirty one with another clean one ready while the other one is ready to be cleaned/oiled again. Etc. I basically did this for years with my old 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix SE…
