These types of filters are much easier to replace than standard filters once installed, open the box and cut off the back of your hand lol. They're easy to replace, but cleaning up is a bucket of hot water and dish soap. Then dry and lightly oil again. I use K&N Red Oil Spray. Then let it dry and reinstall. Or at 2 replace the dirty one with another clean one ready while the other one is ready to be cleaned/oiled again. Etc. I basically did this for years with my old 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix SE and a kit with a short 3" pipe.
