To be honest I work in a sawmill it's a tough place for clothes and accessories and I had to sew one side with extra strong threads. But these phone cases are durable except for harsh environments, and they don't cross paths with wallets, so you don't end up with a bunch of useless bags. I use it horizontally and it's very secure. I wouldn't trust a metal belt clip, but you can use it horizontally and vertically thanks to the built-in belt loop.

My husband used to break the plastic clips that come with phone cases. In desperation he found it and I ordered it for him. After the first day he was much happier! He even occasionally uses a pen holder when he can. And his phone is an iPhone 7plus with a ballistic shell. It's tight enough that it won't accidentally slip out, and not so tight that he can't pull it out! And the velcro isn't that hard to undo (at least not on him)!

This protects my IPhone 7 Plus with a protective Otterbox around it, meaning it fits snugly but isn't too tight. Well made holster. It offers a lot of space, so even a phone with a wallet fits in it. However, there are two problems. First, the velcro is VERY strong. So much so that opening the flap requires two hands, one pulling the flap and the other holding the holster. Aggravating! Second, the belt clip is too weak.
