If you plan on using the pressure mount feature, forget it. instructions sucks. After figuring out how to adjust it, I added duct tape as another reviewer suggested. These gates can be a little tricky to install (I think I'm pretty handy with these guys but I'm no pro). It may be helpful to have a second pair of hands to hold while installing. I bought this gate to keep dogs out of hallways to bathrooms and bedrooms. We used to have old plastic gates so this is an upgrade. It's not written on the seller, but when it got here someone clearly stepped on the package and slightly bent one of the vertical guides.
