I bought this gate to keep dogs out of hallways to bathrooms and bedrooms. We used to have old plastic gates so this is an upgrade. It's not written on the seller, but when it got here someone clearly stepped on the package and slightly bent one of the vertical guides. I was able to bend it slightly but it wasn't quite straight as if it hadn't been stepped on. I'm not sending it back for that. This is for our purposes. Pros: 36" tall, looks nice, decent price. The latch is easy to use and the gate closes on its own if you don't push it all the way. Not too difficult to install. Cons: When it got here there was one small manufacturing defect but it was on a rubber grommet that fit the ends of the screws that hold the gate to the wall.The first step in the instructions is to screw the pieces together to make sure they are together.One of them wasn't cut correctly so it couldn't screw tightly into the other piece.A utility knife blade fixed this by trimming the miscut piece of rubber to fit properly.My main issue with this goal is how the bottom of the goal sits on the crossbar holds over the bottom.The two small levers are effective but difficult to use when you have to open them every time you get in and out of the gate.I think they would be better turn if they would use a different type of locking mechanism. Luckily we don't have small children or young dogs to press hard on the gate below so we can leave it unlocked. The visual barrier is good enough to keep our current dogs on the right side of the gate.
