Needed a doorstop next to the fireplace to keep the outer door from hitting the paneling when opened. Away from the fireplace, on a tiled hearth and about 18 inches from the wall. Looks good and works well, stopping a very heavy solid oak door with no problem. Well made, easy to set up, will definitely buy again when I have a statement to make.

Simple, stylish and efficient. A hole in the floor is required for floor mounting. Installation can range from simple to complex depending on the material of the floor. When working with harder materials (e.g. tiles) it is recommended to position the doorstop where the edges of the tiles meet. Drilling cement mortar is much easier and there is less risk of cracking the ground. However, the right drill (e.g. a diamond drill) offers the most adjustment options in these materials.

It works exactly how I need it and looks great. I can't comment on the ease of installation, but judging by the design it was very easy to install. Drill a hole and screw it down I believe that's all you need, just make sure the base plate/support plate is strong enough to hold it in place well.
