I bought a kit with all three fans to replace almost worn out fans on my ROG Strix 1080. Two of the three fans are working fine, but the third (Fan-A) is not properly connected (see photo). I was able to fix my system by using the old fan instead of the wrong one, but that means I have to get another fan A and repeat the job of replacing that particular fan, which I don't do. happy to have to do it. It's only been a day but so far the fan is working with no issues. No strange noises and temperatures are cool. Had the same decal as the original. Anyway I had to replace all 3 not just the broken one because that fan is now overtaking the others lol I notice when the computer shuts down it still has some momentum compared to the other 2 fans. the Stock One stopped working. The replacement fan works fine and is controlled by the Asus software in the same way. The only drawback is that the fan does not stop. The view defeats the purpose of a passively cooled card (fans won't spin unless temperatures rise). My solution would be to set the fan curve using ASUS GPU tuning software and force all fans to run at minimum speed. This fan works great and doesn't seem to be any louder than the stock. More importantly, the wires are accurate in length. If they were too long or too short, it would be difficult to route the wires on the heatsink. Installation only took about half an hour, including removing and reinstalling the card, and it's a lot easier than you might think. After all, it costs less than half of the original replacement, so everything is fine.
