💧 InSinkErator FLG-SSLG 3.5-inch Deep Sink Flange in Polished Stainless Steel Review

When our installers installed the waste chute in a new farmhouse sink, we found that the flange was too short. I ordered this because it says 3 1/2 inches. When it arrived we measured it and it's ONLY 2 1/2 inches. I'll be back as we specifically needed a 3 1/2 inch. So very disappointed with the false advertising which caused another delay in the sink installation.

As you can imagine there are no working parts for this item. This is a simple metal flange needed to attach the InSinkErator to a thick sink base (e.g. farm sink). The $50 top up is insane and clearly intended to scam customers. I went shopping and it was actually the best price. Can someone at InSinkErator explain why it costs so much?

Bought for my yard because the regular one didn't fit. It fits great, but SERIOUSLY InSinkErator, how does THIS part cost the whole kit?!? This is the only reason I gave it 4 stars but the only place I found it cheaper was from our wholesale supplier BUT we kept buying it and when you calculated the shipping cost to return it would have it paid off so badly on our part. Overall: It works.

I bought this in 2014 and then I found the price too high - 35 dollars. I am installing a different disposal, so another extended flange is needed. It should be noted that this flange is 2 1/2 inches long, not 3 1/2 inches as advertised, but will still fit most farmhouse sinks. although you can double check before ordering! The quality is the same as InSinkErator, but the markup is ridiculous.

I only give this flange 5 stars because it does what I need it to do. We recently replaced our stainless steel kitchen sink with a Shaw fireclay sink. Those who bought the same sink as we did will immediately realize that your current garbage disposal flange is not deep enough to fit through the sink. Great solution for my thick porcelain sink. My sink was too thick for the new waste chute I bought from Costco. I got the American standard 1.25 hp. Garbage disposal recently. The flange that fits into the sink drain is too short for thicker porcelain sinks.
