The threads are about 1/16th shorter than standard battery terminals. It doesn't seem like much, but it always helps when screwing it into a lead thread. And the outer stud needs to be longer to get better contact of the stud with attached terminal lugs.

bought 2 one almost immediately removed which is very easy as the HEX size is big. The secondary screw isn't very long either, so you can easily add a flat ring terminal, but adding a second one may be more difficult (maybe, but without much grip on the threads).

I needed to add an amplifier and some off-road lights to my S10 Blazer and also find a way to connect the battery. This resulted in a very clean build and excellent conductivity. At the moment the amp and lights are hooked up and there is absolutely no indication that there will be any problems. Simple/efficient design, easy install, would buy again.

Ideal for disconnecting dual battery cables commonly used on GM vehicles. If you think your battery is dead, it could just be corrosion in the red case that houses the two cables. Cut the cord and throw it in the trash lol. And use this terminal and disconnect them. No more corrosion. Of course, you need to clean the terminals with a wire brush beforehand. But after I installed it, the car started with no problems.

I've used tons of these over decades of car audio installation. They are all essentially the same. There is a short version used for most GM side mount batteries. In addition, there is a long version that is mainly used for pickups with OEM dual battery cables. With the short version, it is often difficult to get the first thread into the battery. I admit I've always managed to dress it up right. However, I have also fought some. If it was 1/16 inch longer it would probably make a difference. I
