🔧 SCOSCHE Install Centric ICFD6BN: Complete Double DIN Installation Solution for Select 2004-08 Ford/Lincoln/Mercury, Premium Sound & Aftermarket Stereo Review

Used this on my 2008 Mustang. It fits and looks nice. The stereo system plays a major role in the installation. If the stereo is too high/low or sideways it will be difficult to fit and work with the surrounding trim. My Mustang had round lug holes for the bezel to align with, so it wasn't failsafe, but that's how Dow designed it.

This does not work for Expeditions. The brackets only align to the side of the CD player. Expeditions require front mounting brackets. There's no way you can make it work with what they give you. I went to Walmart, paid 16.97 and got the kit they were supposed to put in the package. Instead, they just supply you with side mounting brackets. The wiring harness worked fine so I'm stuck with the whole package now, otherwise I'll have to unplug all the wires I connected.

Just follow the instructions and test the fit before cutting off any unnecessary parts. The only reason you need to cut is because the bracket is made for different model years of cars which have slightly different mounting options. Once you figure out which mount fits your car, simply cut off the mount that doesn't fit if it gets in the way. Looks well installed (sorry no pics) and is sturdy.

This worked great when a modern Blue Tooth Apple Radio touchscreen was fitted to a 2005 Ford Five Hundred. It worked like magic except I had to snap off the brackets that were attached to the back of the new radio - the front brackets were attached to the dash. I would give 5 star rating but I had to order a separate wiring harness which was true plug and play. This kit comes with a wiring harness, but I didn't want to try to get all the wires together when I could just order a complete rebuild

I actually got this after not liking the first Metra set I got. I don't really like any of the three kits available, including this one. There is an "edge" at the bottom of the hole that sticks out a little further than the top. It's on both gauges I have and this Skosha. Has anyone tested these kits before? The kit was sticking out so far past the bezel that I had to cut out all that crap just to make it sit a little flush! Also, the antenna adapter was just a waste of money and completely unnecessary. The only thing that works great is the cable set, which I've always endorsed Scosche for. Didn't want to give it a star because it works and it seems like a star should be reserved for something completely useless. but it's a little bit better than that. The odd three piece design was tricky to install (required about 4 hands), breaking off the extra plastic tabs is just sad, but worst of all it just doesn't fit well.
