Strong Slim Lock Actuators

Very strong locks and very slim profile, very easy to install with a simple 2 wire installation. I installed a remote starter on a car with no power locks and let the remote starter control the locks and it works great (you either need 2 relays or a power lock for your remote starter which is actually just 2 relays but connects to a port on the unit this makes it easy to install have had them for a few months now and they work every time they are so solid you can actually hear them lock and…

Excellent replacement for Saab door lock actuator

Install Essentials 524N is by far the best and cheapest replacement for the Saab 9000 actuator. On the rear door I have the end closest to the locking mechanism with it fastened with the supplied screw. I used a zip tie to secure the other end. There was nothing to splice electrically. I connected the blue wire 524N to the blue wire of the Saab actuator and the green wire 524N to the brown/white wire of the Saab actuator. So easy! Watch a short YouTube video by Barry Abella showing how it's…

Mandatory to open the tailgate, recommended for electric locks.

This is great and a lot more compact than the standard 524 door lock motor. I installed two of these (instead of the stock two) in my F150 (2014) tailgate with a trunk step and thigh mat on the tailgate . Works very well. Opens the tailgate every time. And with 2 tailgate assistants DZ43200. Yes, I know DeeZee says not to put it on the passenger side. Regardless, I installed it there and haven't had any problems so far. I didn't have the one you see in the picture. The illustration shows the…

Great Aftermarket Actuators

I added power locks and keyless entry to my Chevy Spark and used these actuators. I originally bought various actuators that were much cheaper (4 for about $14). The cheaper ones seemed to work fine, but I accidentally miswired the relays and fried one of them when testing everything on the dyno. I ordered one of these as a replacement and after unboxing it turned out to be much better. It was much smaller and thinner, and it came with all the necessary wires and a rubber band to route the…

Used to repair a Pop N Lock tailgate latch

Purchased to replace the actuator in a Power Pop N Lock tailgate latch kit that failed in less than two years. The kit only has a one year warranty and as a result I would have had to buy a replacement. The Pop N Lock part should be around $40 upon delivery. The item here was less than $17 at the time of purchase and as I had purchased other items the shipping was free. It wasn't an exact match to the original device, but it was close enough that with a little modification I could get it…

Ford Escape 2002 Tailgate Retainer

Beautiful escapement. I bought it because, as many people will attest, Ford decided that if your drivetrain fails on your Escape, you need to replace the entire mechanism in the tailgate, which would cost around $190. In most cases, this is a waste of around $160 since the mechanical parts only need to be lubricated when the drive is replaced. This is not a replacement part that you want to use. If you make a mistake installing this item, your tailgate could open suddenly, with fatal…
