Very happy with this item. Used them with closed fins and they were very comfortable. However, they had the ability to attract any sharp-edged stone in the area. I don't know if it was a design flaw or if the engineers were just joking. Long story short, my wife stole mine and I was forced to buy a second pair.

We used them snorkeling in South Kauai. Some beaches had VERY SHARP volcanic rocks when you entered the water and I can say they protected our feet well. It was easy to take them off in the water to dump the sand and put them back on, but at the same time they held tight so they didn't look like they might fall off. We took them home and plan to use them next time.

This product works well, I recommend it. their butts keep rocks and plants from cutting my legs. but DO NOT use them out of the water. Unfortunately I did this on holiday and used them to walk between the caravan and the beach, they work well on sand but not so well on pavement or cement. The bottom of mine has cracked in several places so I'll have to buy more next time I go to the lake, but until you do they work fine, even with fins.

These are scuba socks. That's why I bought them. If you're worried about sewing, here's a tip. Take some Gorilla Glue and draw all the starting and ending points of the stitch.
