We used to hit the office with plastic golf balls but they were loud bouncing off walls and could throw things over people tables, and last but not least, when we hit someone with a slashed eight on the head, it was time for a change. You get what you pay for with these foam balls. The balls are durable, easy to hit off my practice mat, but as expected they don't feel like regular golf balls. It's hard to feel the impact of the ball and you can't read the spin on the face of the racquet like you can with some of the harder practice balls. The balls I received were 1.5 inches in diameter. The US standard ball is 1.68 inches. This might seem like a small change, but it's a significant one. I prefer to train with full-size balls. They are softer and lighter than the more rubberized Callaway-style training balls. Outdoors I can hit them up to 40 meters without wind. The wind has little effect on the flight of the ball.
