The quality exceeds all expectations, I recommend to buy.

I took 661 as a replacement, the consumption in idle time increased slightly. The performance has grown very noticeably, I didn’t seem to notice a difference in games, I checked it on headlight edge 4 and crisis 3, but there is a huge increase in work. Paired with a sabertooth 97, the memory bought a year ago began to work almost 3 times faster according to tests, although the old one was enough. They say about 100 degrees, I was also surprised that on a tower with 2 turntables and a thermal…

Pros
  • Pretty fast, not hot, acceleration

4790k works in msi z97 gaming 9 ac, noctua u14s, kingston 16 gb hyper x 1600, msi n780 lighting, plextor m5pro 256gb. Everything is installed in the NZXT phantom 630 case (case fans run at a minimum). The system is designed for home multimedia station (HD movies, games, MMO games, internet surfing). After running the tests, it was concluded that the system did not need to be overclocked, since not a single performance drop was detected. Under load, ALL 4 cores operate at 4.2-4.4 GHz. The…

Pros
  • 1. Top performance. At the moment, 4790k is the leader in terms of the specific performance of a single core at default frequencies. 2. Surprisingly - the processor is cold. 3. Lower power consumption compared to top processors AM3+ and s2022. 4. A Z97 motherboard is required, but this is a plus, not a minus, since the chipset has the widest functionality and prospects.
Cons
  • 1. A subjective internal unpleasant feeling caused by criticism of the thermal interface, which spread on the network even before the appearance of the processor in retail (in practice, fears were not confirmed - 100% stability. No throttling, no blue screens, no freezes). 2. All the same, since the 2600k, Intel has been following the path of evolution, not revolution. Yes, the hasswell overclocking is not so bright compared to the 5GHz + in the sandy bridge, but the performance is no longer growing linearly with overclocking. New architecture, improved process technology and support for new instructions do the trick.

A great option for this money, I definitely recommend it!

For those who still doubt the performance, take it, you won't regret it! I am seriously engaged in 3D (3dsmax + vray), I took it for rendering and modeling, absolute perfection. Compared to 3770k, rendering is 20-25% faster, full multitasking, no need to remove cores to open a folder. The processor is very cold (ZALMAN PERFOMA 10x cools with 1 fan very well), more than 54 degrees at maximum load (1 hour of rendering, who understands), does not rise, at idle 17-23 degrees. For comparison, 3770k,

Pros
  • Productive, cold, promising and very successful processor

I've been using it for a little less than a year. I cool with Archon. In games, the temperature never rose above 56-58 degrees. In idle time 23-25, in summer 27-28, now in autumn it has fallen again. did not try to overclock, on the new system there is no need yet

No minuses as such, comfortable to use.

i7-4790K. It heats up VERY. Under the lid - some kind of nonsense. Having the experience of re-purchasing (the first one accidentally fell on the parquet - and . that's it), I can say: an instance is different from an instance, like heaven and earth. With a considerable cost of the product, the owners of two different copies may end up with completely dissimilar prospects. For example, the second I (forcedly) bought two cores are always a couple of degrees Celsius hotter than the other two…

Pros
  • Are available. Works.
Cons
  • Overclocking has no real potential.
