- 1. Fast. 2. Easy to overclock. 3. Economical. 4. Enough for cooling - 4 years ago Hyper 212+
- 1. With default settings, it gets very hot. 2. Responds sharply to an increase in voltage - an increase in temperature. 3. Price in 2022.
- Improved thermal interface inside the processor, regular 4000Mhz.
- The potential for overclocking is not high enough, but the standard 4000Mhz (4400Mhz Boost) is more than enough. A powerful cooler is required for cooling.
- Frequency out of the box (4 GHz). Number of cores and threads.
- Stub socket. An unthinkably inadequate factory thermal interface for a top-end processor with the "K" index.
- Powerful 4 cores and 8 threads It will easily pull out 2-way SLI from 1080, and maybe even cooler cards when they come out.
- The temperature is like it is on the edge of hell, even in stock it sometimes reaches 70 degrees, not to mention overclocking, where I was able to detect a temperature of 92 degrees at a frequency of 4.7Ghz, which is not good. So if you want to overclock it, then either the top tower, or a good dropsy.
- 1) High performance in games and various resource-intensive applications. Subjectively, this processor, even at standard frequencies, is much faster than the Core i7 975XE, 990XE in strong overclocking. 2) Low power consumption and low power supply requirements. 3) The 4790K is almost identical in performance to the newer generation Skylake Core i7 6700K, but is slightly cheaper and does not require more expensive DDR4 memory.
- Downgraded one point for having to scalp this processor. 1) Scalping allows you to radically solve the problem of serious heating of this processor even at standard frequencies. 2) The processor even after scalping "asks" for a good cooler. 3) Not a drawback, but rather a nitpick: the processor is very sensitive to the frequency of the memory modules. The difference in performance in the same games between 1600MHz and 2400MHz memory is quite noticeable. Take your memory faster :)
- Good in games and video work.
- Could be temperature.
- Not much to dislike even the 4770K does a better job than the 4790K.
- There is chewing gum like the previous Haswl 4770K model, scalping is indispensable
- + Performance. Video encoding with Xilisoft is 44% faster than the i5-4670K when both are in stock mode. + Automatic frequency switching depending on the load does not interfere with the operation of programs, saves electricity and reduces heat
- - Poor thermal interface under the lid. When overclocked to 4.5 GHz and running tests in LinX, the cores heat up to 95 - 98 degrees, a little short of turning on throttling - After the jump in the exchange rate, the price became unbearable, but I managed to buy this percentage when it cost less than 20 thousand.
- Nothing.
- Too high heat dissipation.
- All the characteristics of the system were determined, I did not see any differences from what is written on the market, which, of course, is good.
- It heats up, of course, but a normal cooling system levels it.
- More than 4 years satisfied with its performance. It is used both in video editing and graphic editors, and in games (4K). Installed 4.4ghz and disabled Turbo Boost.
- High heat dissipation. Despite the large tower, the temperatures are still a bit high, up to 70C. My copy is bad in overclocking. And in general, a lot of people wrote about this series about overclocking that the potential is low. Everything that is possible from the factory is simply squeezed out of it.
