This chrome plated scarf holder looks nice and stylish, but it's a waste of money. When I received it I put two scarves on it and now both scarves are ruined because they got stuck. What you don't see in the picture are the small wires holding the rings together that are not flattened. And even between the rings, when the scarf is pulled through the fabric, it gets caught. Most of the holes in this scarf organizer are only 1 1/2" in diameter. My old plastic scarf organizer that just broke had all the 2 3/4 inch diameter holes, which was handy for storing my scarves and had enough room to keep them from wrinkling. My concern is that after being stored in one of the small slots, the scarf will be so wrinkled for a while that I have to iron it. Not good. That's two stars.

When I unpacked the hanger, I was disappointed with the size. Wow. That's little! Smaller holes are only slightly larger than a quarter of a US dollar. But once I threaded my bulky scarves through them it wasn't too bad and I'm happy with the purchase. I went through two more plastic hangers and the "hanging" part kept breaking off. Grr. . This might work for ties, but DEFINITELY won't work for anything but the smallest and thinnest of scarves. I already had a scarf holder and was hoping to get something similar but with more capacity (see comparison photo). I found this one and it seemed to match the description. TLDR: Not really sticky but it's easy to sand and now it doesn't hang and is worth the price for holding so much weight can. Holds so many scarves and so much weight! These are all full length scarves, pashminas, synthetics and even two super short XL scarves. My BB&B plastic broke so I knew I needed metal for strength. Can't beat this price! I ordered one of these for my wife. Several issues prevent this "good" product from becoming a "great" 5-star product. Best quality. It's all made of two or three pieces of metal that are welded together in certain places to keep them from falling apart. Most of our welds are smooth with no burrs as buyers have noted.
