LOVE IT in horses

Just what I needed! Although what I ordered was supposed to be dark green and came in light green (which really interests) they are exactly what my horse needs. She's not a rough horse, very gentle with her stuff so if you have a horse that's known for ruining blankets, toys and all I wouldn't take her. She's not really successful at first, but what bothered me the most was that she stepped aside and took off her shoes. Knock wood, they've been there since I've had them and they're cool so she…

Pros
  • Sturdy surface
Cons
  • Some insects

Mined in less than 4 days.

Bought less than a week ago, one has already snapped in half and the other is on the way. Now I know these things don't last long as we change a lot of pairs a year but figured I'd use them a little more than about 4 days. I think you get what you pay for. In my opinion I paid too much for them for what I got from them. The rubber was too soft and not durable at all. They were easy to put on as they were so stretchy, but they just weren't appropriate for pasture or riding wear. Would rate 0/5…

  • This is great

  • A few little things

One ripped in half in two weeks, another almost in half in less than a month

No wonder they were so cheap! I noticed that both were starting to tear, and after a few days, small pieces came loose from them. One of them was completely torn in half and found in a paddock by a barnhand in less than two weeks. The other one, which she's wearing until her new pair arrives, is about to break in half. And it's not like she's running like a maniac across 40 acres - we're in a barn in town and she's in a 20x40 dirty paddock for hours on end.

Pros
  • Packaging weight: 0.5lb
Cons
  • boring packaging

My favorite bell boots!

These shoes are great! I use them on my QH 15.3 Foundation with large hooves and they fit perfectly. These are the ONLY (I have a dozen different) flared boots that I can pull them out in without chafing them. They typically last about 2-4 months of constant wear (daily turnout and Wisconsin winter/spring rides) before the tires start to fail and need replacing, but the price and overall quality don't bother me too much. . Another thing I don't like is why the blue is more expensive than the…

and I wish the rubber was a bit more durable for that reason

Used on my horse who steps on his butt to try to minimize hoof/corolla damage. Worked as expected, they lasted about 3 weeks and for that reason I wish the rubber was a little more durable; They didn't chafe and were easy to put on and take off. I've used other brands since buying these and will likely return to them, if only because the rubber is malleable enough that I can actually take them off if needed. It also has the advantage that if he lost it in his big pen, the blue is easy to see…
