🐎 Enhanced Performance Endurance Saddle Pad by Intrepid International Review

Bought for use under the summer Spirit Distance saddle with short round pads. I've found it also works really well with the Podium saddle and the Setzi Enduro saddle - both are slightly larger than a bike seat and require special padding to sit properly on the horse. Very happy with quality and absorbency. This is very important here in hot southern Spain!

I received this pad a few minutes ago, it's surprisingly well made for the price (thanks Revane!) I did a lot of research to find the right pad for me and my appy. This overlay (as detailed by a previous reviewer) really changes the fit. I have mine seated on a saddle stand (with the stirrups turned out) and I've had to adjust the straps holding them. I have a feeling my appy will feel a lot better in this padding, it fits my 16" saddle perfectly! Away with my other pillows! That is for me!

The cushion itself is not symmetrical on either side of the center. The heavier padding area has uneven layers. The bottom cannot prevent slipping at all. He needs a way to attach it to the saddle like an Australian pillow to prevent the padding from slipping under the saddle and/or the saddle and padding from slipping. I bought $150 gel pads to give my OTTB enough padding but finally found the perfect saddle pad for us in this high quality pad at a low price. I prefer a low profile pad and this pad fits perfectly under my round skirt trail saddle. The padding just under the saddle (dark blue area in the photo) is very deep (actually changed the fit of the girth). The neckline ensures a good fit at the withers. My horse had back problems and finds this cushion very comfortable. The pillow looks and feels good.

I bought this pad for my western saddle with a round skirt. Most saddlebags are too long for my short-backed Arabian. I wanted something that wasn't too thick, too long, too bulky etc so I took a chance with this saddle pad and I'm so glad I did!
