Used this to hang some decorations at my son's birthday party. Really easy to use and looks great! My only complaint was that when the package was opened the yarn bundle quickly turned into a large ball. Think fishing line...no one's fault but me, but next time I'll be more careful!

When this product came out I was looking for a picture hanging wire for handmade masks. I didn't know about it beforehand. Picture wire is difficult to use, hard to bend (even at the thinnest gauge), and no matter how carefully I try to coil it, it's pretty ugly. At first I was afraid the nylon would slip through the clip. I'm happy to report that if you pinch it, it won't happen. Seems very strong. Picture hanging wire is easy to use and supposedly invisible. It's like hanging a heavy fishing line. Not sure of its overall strength but certainly good for the pictures I hang.

Thin, almost imperceptible (didn't matter because in my case it was outside the photo frame), holds a lot of weight and doesn't seem to stretch. Aluminum grommets come in handy for holding the wire securely, but make sure you have needle-nosed pliers handy.

I use this line with Shades micro hooks also available from Revain. The hooks say they can be used with 1-2mm line, while this nylon "wire" is only 0.9mm in diameter. However, the screw on the hook closes to zero, allowing the hooks to work on the line. Just make sure the screw on the Shades micro hook is very tight so the hook doesn't slip off the nylon line. For heavy items I use Shades Perlon Loop Cord and STAS Smartspring hooks. Two loops and hooks are required for very heavy items.
