Wireless charging doesn't work with the magnetic plate on the back. But overall a very solid car mount. Only downside is that the included adhesive suction cup dash mount is NOT a rigid mounting plate. Just a thin layer of 3m FILM.

This magnetic mount is not suitable for large phones. I have a Note 8 and the magnet wasn't strong enough to hold the phone in place. Any movement on the car will cause the phone to slip and eventually just fall off. It's important to note that I used a larger magnet (including a small magnet and a large magnet) mounted in the middle of the back of the phone (I was willing to sacrifice the wireless charging feature).

Over 50 years of driving and trying to secure CB setups, GPS receivers, a selection of CD players, cassette players, speed cameras and other things that I've tried to attach over the years this REALLY WORKED. I had a fall once but it was probably my fault. It stays horizontal or vertical with no problems, you just have to find a middle ground and get away with one less problem you have while driving, 5 stars again⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Do not buy. The magnet is too strong for the iPhone. I have an iPhoneXR and it overheated and drained the battery rendering my phone completely unusable and shutting down. In four hours of minimal usage, my phone went from 100% to 11%. It typically lasts up to 16 hours with moderate to heavy usage. If the magnet is too strong, it will interfere with the electronic components, and that applies to this product. Also, it made my phone incompatible with the wireless charger I bought with the phone.

Excellent attachment. I've used it extensively over the last two weeks and it works fantastic, iOttie has done it again! I use this mount on an iPhone XS Max with an Otterbox Symmetry case. While the large silver plate inside the case isn't strong enough, the small black plate attached to the outside of my case works just fine. I bought a rattle holder and a vent holder. This one outshines them both. My phone is in a convenient place and doesn't block any air vents or street views. All is well, but it's a magnet that's really great. It's strong enough to rip the phone out of my fingers when I hold it about half an inch from the mount. Use this with an iPhone XR and a Spigen Ultra Hybrid case. First, the clamp on the fan is completely tight. I can't imagine it coming off (although I've only had it a week). I used the smaller of the two magnets installed on the phone inside the case. I bought this mount for my iPhone XS which comes in a Pelican case. At first I was concerned that the case would be too "heavy" to use with this mount, but I took a risk.
