🐚 iPearl mCover Hard Shell CASE for 15.6" Dell XPS 15 9550/9560 / Precision 5510 Series Laptop (Released After Sept. 2015) - Aqua Review

This cover may fit earlier Dell XPS 15 models but will NOT fit current newer XPS 15 and 9570 models. The top cover dimensions are not true to size, which takes the strain out of my laptop's 4K screen. Also, I could file the ribs on the back and make the cover flat, but that still doesn't eliminate the possibility of screen cracks due to poor fitting (see video). This case is really good. It's not a super smooth, polished finish, but rather a somewhat smooth, unpolished finish, which I really like. I use this case on my Dell XPS 15 (9570) and it fits. There lies my problem. It doesn't go all the way through the corners. There are still small gaps in the corners to press down (and yes, I installed it correctly). I didn't have the problems that other people had when the top cover got stuck on the bottom and caused problems because I didn't push the screen more than 80°. °. Thanks to the covers, the top doesn't drop more than 80°, so don't press on it and you won't have any problems. I want to warn you that there just aren't many protective cases for this model of laptop. I had hundreds of options to choose from when I had a MacBook Pro for work and missed it so much. I ordered this second one after ordering a more expensive case which caused my laptop to get very hot when charging. I love this bag! I tried installing the D-Brand skin twice before purchasing this case. It was a disaster. Trying to fix the skin was a sticky, frustrating nightmare. Never! This case attaches in seconds, is much cheaper than D-Brand leather, more durable and offers better protection. With that in mind, I suggest removing the bottom from time to time to clean the laptop and remove dirt on the case. I don't know how, but random debris will always get in at some point. I've bought two of these now, my favorite part are the legs that fold down from the bottom to tilt the keyboard. It is much easier to work with it and especially to play games. It's very smooth, easy to apply and holds up well. My only comment would be that it's not very durable when protecting on a laptop, but the legs are cheap plastic. It was hard to find such protection for the Dell Precision 5520. This fits as advertised for this model. The lid has plenty of ventilation at the bottom. I think it will do its job of protecting itself from scratches, but be aware that it can't really protect against falls, which is due to the weight of laptops and the fact that the cover is made of plastic (durable, but thin).
