Great idea and I want to get this as other users answers said it should work. Unfortunately, it's too big to fit in a double sink. about 1 inch too long, even with extensions fully retracted. Plus a gap of about 4 inches under the drain rack to the bottom of the sink (because it's too big). Great price on a sink dryer, especially when you see the astronomical prices they charge for some of these online. Apparently I have an odd sized sink and it came with a specially chosen dryer which finally caught on. After some searching I finally found this one and it fits within half an inch either way. Stainless steel for under $20 with a 5 year warranty, what can you go wrong? It's not the thickest metal frame, but then again you're not paying $90-120 for it - a steal!

My cheap dish dryer started to rust where the rubber coating fell off. time for a new one. The purchase is not glamorous but necessary as I wash dishes by hand daily. What attracted me was the fact that the plate coasters are on the side and not in the middle, allowing for better strategic placement of my dishes. It's been almost a month, I like it so far. I wanted a sink drain rack and needed something small and I think it worked really well for that. I can stack a surprising amount of dishes in it and it dries very quickly - much faster than before on the cloth drying mat I had on my countertop. The basket itself appears to be of good quality and I expect it to last a long time. What can be improved. I wish there were places for cups.
