EXCELLENT QUALITY! I am impressed!

This is my favorite corkscrew! We are planning to order another one to leave in our RV. This is a very difficult mode and works effortlessly. Super great quality for the price!

Broke after a month

The bottle opener broke after a month of use. EDIT: This opener broke after a month of use, but I edited my review as the company refunded the purchase in full, no questions asked. Instead I bought another wine and a bottle opener.

Get the job done, bravo!

I've tried about 10 cheap bottle openers that I buy from Target or Walmart. This time I decided to buy online and couldn't be happier. The good thing: It's strong and the narrow thread goes through the cork like a hot knife through butter. Bad: no. Conclusion: I am satisfied with my purchase.

This isn't rocket science.

It's not new technology, but that doesn't stop most modern vendors of these things from ruining them like royalty. This is the exception: simple, reliable, and probably the last I'll be buying for a while. Seriously, I don't need high tech in my wine extractor. I think these devices peaked around 1890 or so. I've been using this for a few months now. I've tried many wine openers over the years and hoped this one wouldn't be a cheap disappointment. A lot of reviews called it durable so I ordered it. It's heavier than my previous one and seems to open a lot of bottles regardless of cork type. The tip is easy to pierce and the gears gently pull out the cork. Very happy!

Even I Won't Break This One

My old stock finally broke and I realized that it was impossible to buy a bottle opener locally. They just don't exist in stores. However, I finally found one and it broke the first time I tried to use it. She was still stuck in traffic, in the fridge for weeks in case someone strong showed up to get her out. So it was time to get serious. I bought this from Revain and was relieved to know that it actually works. Seems strong enough. The design is elegant and appealing.
