The receiver cable does not work. So the whole block is useless to me.

I have two of them. I bought my first a few years ago. That works fine. However, this second one doesn't work. I found that the IR receiver sensor is defective. When I use the touch cable from an old device, it works fine. A broken sensor seems fine, ie when you press it with the remote control, the blue light flashes, but nothing else happens. I lost 20 dollars. Don't repeat the same mistake.

Curse! Almost Perfect

It's amazing the value the Chinese can offer in consumer electronics for items like this remote repeater that are available in the limited market. Compared to previous simple IR repeaters, this set gives you everything you need for 4 different devices lying out of sight on your couch! It also has blue LEDs that flash on the receiver, as well as a junction box that reflects incoming remote IR so you can tell at a glance that it's receiving and retransmitting IR. My only criticism is the…

Dead on Arrival: Home Theater Systems

I gave it a rating of three and will change that depending on how the seller and/or manufacturer responds to my last inquiry. The product is quite simple, as are the instructions. . Plug it in, place the new IR receiver in a convenient location for all angles, and attach LEDs to your devices IR receiver. i did this I'm getting status lights indicating it should work, but no signals are coming to my devices. It looks like a good product with nice packaging. The cable entry points on the little…

Works great

I think other reviewers took a good look at this - you might have trouble with different types of 3.5mm cables if you want to extend it (mine extends easily to 15 lengthen foot). because some 3.5mm cables have extra rings to connect both microphone and stereo at the same time. Also, don't hot-plug this thing - it's acting weird until you turn it off. So after doing all the things I shouldn't do, she still runs like a champ and couldn't be happier. Yes, it's annoying. Light on BOTH ends so you…

Works better than just the remote

I have a Comcast cable box and since I got it two years ago I've been disappointed that it doesn't respond to the remote. Now that I'm using the repeater, there doesn't seem to be a problem understanding what I'm trying to tell him. I taped two repeaters to the inside of a closet door and everything works like clockwork! I mounted the receiver next to the IR receiver on my flat screen TV and the cable runs up under the wall and down into the cabinet below: so this cable is quite LONG. I've…

Works fine if. Suitable for TV and video

Your remote control needs new batteries to start operating! Plug in the power to the base unit and plug in the IR receiver (long thin piece). Point the remote control at the sensor from about 30 cm away and press the buttons. Your remote control should light up the (blue) LED in the sensor, if not the device will NEVER work for you. Second, take the time to experiment with the angles at which the receiver can see your remote's IR signal. This will help you position the receiver at the most…

Pros
  • Robust design
Cons
  • Without automatic control

Works great so far. I've only connected it to one device as I'm still building my office in the new house we've moved into. I cut the IR receiver cable and connect it to the CAT 5E cable that runs from the video cabinet to the TV wall mount. The IR receiver is mounted on the wall directly below the television. Will be updated as the build progresses. Run for about 100 minutes, no lag. The blue LED lets the IR receiver know it has received a signal from the remote, that's great! Connected to my…

Great product for TV and video

I have a system where all the components are in a cabinet halfway down the wall because I didn't want everything stacked in plain view. My problem is that all my surround speaker wires go to this cabinet and I watch TV through my Xbox One so changing everything and keeping the surround sound won't work. If you've ever tried watching TV through an Xbox, you know that using a wearable controller is tedious, not only because you have to use the game buttons to control everything, but also because…
