Simply beautiful: cutlery and knife accessories

I saw in reviews that the wood was dry on arrival or had glue residue on it and was apprehensive about buying this item. I thought I'd expect it to need some oil or some glue sanding when it arrives, but I didn't see any of that. The cutting board arrived well oiled and well packaged to avoid cracking another photo. Thanks to the seller for the improvements based on some feedback. The cutting board is simply beautiful and I can only recommend the purchase.

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Unsafe, not for intended use

This product contains chemicals known to cause cancer and birth defects. Revain permits the sale of CUTTING BOARDS that contain harmful chemicals. That's the scariest thing about this board, which also arrived already damaged with a huge dent and lots of stains on the surface. The slab looks deceptively heavy in the photo, but in reality it is porous and too light to be a quality surface for serious use. And the wood looks awful. Pure garbage, readerโ€”

It will make a wonderful holiday table!

Bought to make a new table. It turned out fabulous! I still wanted the wood to be food safe and fully functional as a cutting board, so as with all wooden cutting boards/blocks I use cutting block oil. I will say it was TASTE! It took 6-7 coats of oil but should be easily serviceable from here now. Rest of the project: 8 1/2" flanges 8 12" black steel pipe 1/2" long 1 1/2" black steel cross fitting 4 1 black steel/2" tee 4 6" 1/2" "black tubular steel

Absolutely fantastic!

My son bought this for me for Christmas and it looks so good on my granite counter. It's not too thick, the grain of the wood makes it elegant, and I've used it for a cheese board and for slicing veggies, and it works great with no deep grooves. I had to pack it in my luggage and fly home about 1000 miles in a padded suitcase and nothing happened as it is very durable. It has little rubber feet on the bottom of each corner that keep it just a little off the counter in case there is water on myโ€ฆ

There are very noticeable marks on the deck

I received this deck this morning. I was looking forward to this because I've wanted a thick cutting board for a long time and never got one as I have quite a few cutting boards. When I received this I was disappointed. As you can see from the photos there are some very visible markings. It looks like it has been scratched by some sharp, hard objects. I don't know if it's just defective or most of them. But I've requested a replacement, so let's see how the new one looks. I hope they canโ€ฆ

Beautiful and functional cutting boards!

I bought 4 of these boards. One was a shower gift and three will be used in my kitchen. These are nice, heavy boards and great value for money. Three of them needed a light sanding to remove some glue. There was also some grain lift after the initial oiling. This was easily done with loops. They were very dry on arrival and soaked up quite a bit of oil for the first week. I apply them with food grade beeswax every week and they look amazing! I use them often and get lots of compliments! Pretty - requires LOTS of oil for first use

My board is very pretty and has no glue drips as some reviewers have noted. I was prepared that it takes a lot of oil based on another review I read before buying. True, the thing has sucked a ton of oil in the last few days since I started the treatment. Every time I apply generously, I come back a little later and it all soaks in. I've had other wooden boards in the past and none of them soaked up that much oil before becoming fully saturated. This isn't a disadvantage, just make sure youโ€ฆ
