First, the filter is not thicker than the original, some people report, only the frame is thicker, but this does not affect the performance. I checked the airflow with a gauge and it was exactly the same as the original. Highly recommended at a much better price than OEM!

I bought Winix Filter A 115115 and Isinlive Filter A at the same time to compare. The Isinlive filter isn't as fluffy or thick as the Winix brand, which makes me wonder if it's a true HEPA filter. Box does not claim to filter particles as small as 0.3 microns (Winix does). The carbon filter is thinner.

These filters were easy to install but give off a terrible smell when my filter is in use. Air filters are designed to give the air a fresh smell, it seems to me that these filters worsen the air quality. I try every few days hoping the smell goes away but it doesn't. Maybe it's just a coincidence and that's the filter I set. I will try another filter in the box and see if there is a similar smell or not. I will change the rating if I don't perceive the same smell with a different filter.

i bought winix in march and now in november i was about to change the filters because they have been unusable for removing odors for about 3 months. Wow. It's like day and night. Now odors are removed almost instantly. These fake branded filters are just as good as the original filters. However, the charcoal filters are completely different from the original, there is no plastic case to hold the charcoal pieces, it's just a screen soaked with charcoal. It still fits and works just as well.

It's amazing what you get for so little when you buy copies of Winix filters. After switching to Blue Air's Winix cleaners, I'm happy again as a cigar smoker. I was looking for a company that had a good alternative to the more expensive ones and I had previously tried another company that had flimsy useless activated carbon filters so I was very impressed with their quality and thickness. I was hoping they would be as thick as Winex Hepa filters or even as thick as other comparable generic filters. This Hepa weighs about 260 grams. My last generic weighed 380 grams when I took it out which has been used with dust for seven months and I'm pretty sure it's not because of the 120 grams of dust.
