Plug > Batteries all day

If you like me wondering what is the difference between this or batteries. I used this with the batteries in the bin a week later. The response time of the lid is faster and more accurate when this cable is connected to batteries. In my opinion, anyone who has a charger will not regret buying it.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Crumpled

Barely enough force to open the lid

I decided to buy this for my iTouchless trash can rather than replace the batteries, I'm disappointed in my decision. That plug doesn't seem to deliver enough power to keep the lid open all the time. In most cases the lid opens as one would expect from very low powered batteries. I think I'll replace the batteries at some point. Update: A new trash can I bought from iTouchless that has the SensorCan name on it works great with this power cord. There was no old trash can with a square hole.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • No automatic controls

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS. Has served 1 year

The lid no longer works. I bought this in May 2020 and around June 2021 it stopped working. The sensor works because I can see the light turn on and off as I move, but the lid won't open. Without an automatic lid, the trash can is awful to use, especially when you need to throw out wet, messy trash and need a clean hand to open the lid while holding that tiny handle. If you are cooking or have wet or greasy hands, the lid won't hold or open by hand, you need someone to open it for you.

Pros
  • So far I like everything
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Choose your location carefully.

After almost a year he just died. I put new batteries in and nothing. To be fair it was in a busy kitchen area so it was doing a lot of unnecessary work (50 extra cycles a day) and I'm sure it was sent to its grave but for a year or so it was fantastic . I would consider a different option in a location with little traffic, but I replaced it with a less expensive manual drive. One thing I didn't like was the hole, it was too small to use in the kitchen which made it quite dirty. The motion…

Honest Review at Trash, Recycling & Compost

So here is my honest review. Me and my family love this trash can. Sounds stupid you know. In fact, it's really good. Bag loading is difficult at first, but once you know how, it's easy. At first I wanted to go without an adapter but after reading other reviews I decided to go with an adapter because I could only imagine how many batteries I would have to change. I'm glad I did. The only downside to this bin is that out of habit, you no longer wave your hand over all the other bins. You feel…

This seems more of a gimmick than a real solution

This model has had a sluggish opening and closing of the lid so far, even with brand new batteries. The charcoal filter doesn't seem to do anything about the smell, and it's expensive. I don't think I'm used to the sensor yet, lots of false alarms and to activate it the lid pops open and hits my arm so not entirely sure all the kinks are dealt with on that end. The design of the bin liner is VERY elegant. If this came with a power cord and you forgot the very expensive filter bag you'd have a…

Doesn't work In the dark and even in dimly lit places

Good trash can, looks good, strong, works great in a bright place, but in the corner The bathroom I put it in doesn't work very good. When I tried to figure out why I had turned the light off, it stopped working. The bathroom is only 6x10 and is lit by two 60 watt lightbulbs, but that light isn't enough for that trash can. Why is this urn like this when the ones I bought from the same brand 7 years ago worked great in total darkness? They seem to have gotten worse over the years. I do not…

THAT DOES NOT WORK! on trash cans

I bought this adapter for my 13 gallon iTouchless touchless trash can (model #MT13RW) and was expecting this to be the adapter I should be using as it claims to come with to be compatible with all iTouchless bins. . NO! The force isn't enough even to fully open the lid. I've been using this battery bin for a year and it's worked great. except when the batteries run out, then of course the power goes out and I have to change the batteries. Well, this time I decided to get an adapter so I don't…
