My Surface doesn't have an HDMI port so I had to connect to miniDisplayPort

. It connects mini DisplayPort on my Surface to an HDMI port on my monitor. I wanted an adapter, not a Mini DisplayPort to HDMI cable. This makes it easier to pack and use with other monitors. It's reliable and always works. I connect and disconnect it daily, but when connected it always fits snugly - no rebound from all the connects and disconnects. I'm happy with it and the red color makes it stand out on my desk.

Works great with VR headset and NVidia 980

Works as advertised and expected. Last week I bought a Windows Mixed Reality headset from Lenovo. Required HDMI 2.0 input. My graphics card only had one HDMI and it was used as my monitor. All other inputs were mDP, hence this adapter. I plugged it in as soon as I got it and it worked like clockwork. There were some delivery delay issues but that was due to the Revain and not the adapter itself. So far I'm happy with the camper and the VR is great. My scorecard is NVidia EVGA 980, don't know…

Only works on PC and only on external monitors (not VR or Mac).

This adapter works great at nominal specs on a PC laptop, but I was never able to get 4k 60fps on a 2015 Macbook Pro, which is why I bought it. It outputs video for Mac but only 4k at 30fps. Also does NOT work for Oculus Rift. The Oculus software thinks it's connected to the Rift, but the screen stays black no matter what you do. I tried troubleshooting Oculus support and they said they don't believe my laptop supports VR (but it does). It turned out that this adapter is not working properly…

Works with Oculus Rift Retail Version

This is the first Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapter I've tried out of about 5 that actually allowed my Asus G751JT laptop to work with my retail Oculus Rift. Apparently previous hardware versions of the Rift were more forgiving but I've given up on ever working, in fact I bought this adapter to use my 60Hz 4k TV. This laptop only uses Intel integrated graphics via the HDMI port, but this adapter allows me to connect to monitors that support 4k60hz and take full advantage of the Nvidia 970M…

There are faults - hardware or my PC? Not sure.

This works with the 3800 x 1600 HD screen from my Microsoft Surface. It works fine with this screen at 60Hz - other adapters have issues. But I will have crashes - very minor ones, such as: B. Loss of synchronization. I get maybe 5 of these a day. At first I thought it was my KVM switch that it originally runs through. I ended up plugging it directly into my monitor and the problem still occurs. These glitches are minor - glitches typically last 1/60 second - and only occur < 5 times in a…
