Description of πŸ”§ IWISS CRQ01 Brass Push Fit Disconnect Tong Set: 1/2 inch, 3/4 inch, 1 inch Removal Tool for Demounting Push-to-Connect Fittings

CRQ01 has 3 teeth available in 1/2 in. 3/4 in. and 1 in. sizes, allows for easy removal of brass push-to-connect fitting from pipe. CRQ01 disconnect tong is the easiest way to disconnect brass Push to Connect fittings in hard to reach places where it can be tough to get leverage on the release collar. Compact design with wide grip handles. One-handed operation. Quick and easy disassembly. To use the disconnect tong, slide the tong over the fitting and the pipe. Squeeze the tong to press the fittings collar and pull the pipe from the fitting. Easier to use in tight situations. The disconnect tool depresses the release collar using the force applied by your hand to allow the teeth of the fitting to release and the fitting to be removed, reducing the risk of installation errors.

Worked as expected. saved me

This is way better than those stupid half rings and fits a variety of sizes. It's worth it if you use push-to-connect. I have shark bites.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Stop messing around with cheap alternatives.

I have been able to salvage many SharkBite connectors, more than the convenience and ease this tool gives me when removing connectors. Modern connectors need this just like nuts and wrenches.

  • Stylish and modern design

Works great with CPVC and PVC pipe... I recommend this tool

Based on several reviews some people have had issues with this tool. It took me several times to figure it out. And the answer is right there in the manufacturer's specs... The end with the size indicated on the dismantling tool should be around the pipe, and the other end around the neck of the fitting. Everything is easy. I had a case where two Sharkbites were pushed against each other. With this tool I was able to effortlessly slip a plug between two plugs and pull out the plug I wanted…

He does what he claims!

My old hands aren't strong enough to push the clip onto the Sharkbite trigger. I bought a cheap tool that said it would squeeze the outlet but it just bent before the tube was free. To my delight, this tool does its job easily and simply. I was very glad I had it when a copper pipe in my basement started leaking. I quickly went to the appropriate store and had a pair of Sharkbite connectors and a short length of Pex. I learned the hard way how to insert Pex into Sharkbite before connecting it…

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

Slips off hardware easily. Doesn't work as well as pliers of the same size.

These pliers work better than nothing. The problem with them is that they fit some sizes but none of those sizes fit. The puller forks do not wrap around the locking ring on the fitting far enough to stay in place when pressure is applied to loosen the locking ring on the fitting. They want to slip off the fitting because they aren't turning far enough. Because the gripping forks have regular recesses for spreader plates of different sizes. Pliers with specially sized gripping forks grip the…
