These pliers work better than nothing. The problem with them is that they fit some sizes but none of those sizes fit. The puller forks do not wrap around the locking ring on the fitting far enough to stay in place when pressure is applied to loosen the locking ring on the fitting. They want to slip off the fitting because they aren't turning far enough. Because the gripping forks have regular recesses for spreader plates of different sizes. Pliers with specially sized gripping forks grip the fitting much tighter, reducing the likelihood of the gripping forks slipping off. In my opinion, custom sized pliers or replacement gripping forks work much better. I was very disappointed with this product and returned it.
