Cheap metal works best for railings and struts

The quality of the metal around the surround is terrible. We only crimped about 20 before the metal started to mushroom around the crimp hole. Now it won't crimp enough to hold the wire.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Good but not great

The cable was not pinched.

Bought recommended deck rope, rope set, garlands and tools. Tried every tool setting to get a better grip but the cable didn't pinch. I spoke to the manufacturer but they wanted me to send a video of my cocking. I don't have a smartphone so no video but I followed the instructions as directed. I've spent a lot of time on this project and I will have to find a better solution.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Quality

Don't buy this! on Building Materials

Well, when someone buys a tool, it's usually designed to make the job easier, NOT HEAVY. I'm a tall man with considerable upper body strength, but holy cow! I need all my strength to use this tool. To use this tool effectively you will need two people, one to hold the cable in the crimping terminal and the other to crimp it. Even with two people you will find that you will ruin some crimp pins in the process as the crimping machine tends to bend the crimp pins to the point of breaking. Instead…

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Big and Bulky
