This worked great to fix some cracks in my boat deck

This worked great to fix some cracks in my boat deck. It adheres well to the gelcoat and is still a little stretchy. I drilled holes along the crack and other soft spots with a dremel and then injected it into the holes and along the crack and wiped off the excess. Keep in mind that this epoxy will cure and harden in minutes, so you'll need to plan and work quickly. Strong adhesive, low odor but difficult to measure

I used this product to fix a 3 inch hairline crack in my bathtub. I created a 1 inch radius around the crack. You can see my circuit in the picture. I sanded the area and applied 3-4 coats of epoxy 24 hours apart. In areas directly above the crack, its thickness is almost 3/16 inch. It's probably an exaggeration, but that crack is right where you're standing, so it's under a lot of stress. I emailed JB Weld with questions and they were very helpful. If you have any questions I would email or…

Pros
  • Nice touch
Cons
  • Nothing

I've used about six pairs of JB Weld's in the last three months and haven't found a single one Tube that has been completely filled with product. Most tubes have air bubbles inside that lose about 5-10% of the product, but I've had a pair that had about 20% air in the center of the tube and one was only 3/4 full. ! Worse still, if I keep a 50/50 mix every time I use it, I feel like I'm running out of resin so even leftover hardener can't be used. I love the product I'm receiving. That works…
