Description of ๐Ÿ“ผ GLW JVCC LLGRN0510 Converting Tape

JVCC GLW Glow in the Dark Tape is a flexible polyester laminated photoluminescent film tape with a permanent adhesive on one side. The photoluminescent pigments absorb and store energy from normal, ambient light. In sudden darkness the tape is immediately visible. The tape provides a non-electric safety marking system that easily and inexpensively affixes to walls, handrails, columns, around door frames, and along stairways and baseboards (provides visibility during an emergency). It is wound on a liner for easy handling. Used for identification of critical equipment controls, exit and directional signage (especially for escape routes and stairways), light switch covers, labels, decals, novelties, sporting goods, trims, and special effects. Used in hotels, hospitals, schools, public facilities, office buildings, and manufacturing plants. JVCC Glow in the Dark Tape is fully charged within 30 minutes after exposure to either artificial or natural light and glows brightest the first 15 to 30 minutes after activation has ceased, but will remain clearly visible in a totally dark room to the night-adjusted eye for up to 6 hours. The tape has excellent UV stability and does not show significant degradation when used outdoors. The luminescent system used is non-radioactive and non-toxic. Carrier/Backing: laminated photoluminescent polyester film. Adhesive: solvent-based acrylic. Release Liner: poly-coated paper. Thickness: 20 mils (carrier, adhesive, liner) 15 mils (carrier, adhesive) 5 mils (liner). Adhesion: 72 ounces per inch (to stainless steel test panel). Tensile Strength: 30 pounds per inch (longitudinal). Application Temperature: 50F (minimum). Core: 3-inch diameter neutral.

Not as bright as expected

Not as bright as expected. I wrapped this tape around the pole from the bottom up to show the beginning of the driveway at night. It's outside in bright sunlight all day, but I can barely see the lights at night. However, I've placed some of these in my RV near the door and other emergency access areas and I can see the glowing green much better, so this seems to work best when it's dark, with no moonlight or starlight. Like in the middle of a dark forest. Any barely visible light renders thisโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Used for essential device controls, exit and direction signs (especially for escape routes and stairways), light switch covers, labels, stickers, novelty items, sporting goods, trim and special effects. Used in hotels, hospitals, schools, public facilities, office buildings and manufacturing plants.
Cons
  • Only available in white

bad party? Because that tape failed miserably,

I was very disappointed with this glow in the dark tape. As I said in the review title, maybe I got a bad batch or a very old one or something. But the fact remains that this band was not glowing *at all*, not even dimly. I "charged" it in a brightly lit room with the lights off. absolutely nothing. I even waited a few minutes hoping my eyes just hadn't adjusted to the darkness yet, but there was still no glow at all. Also, the glue is not very good. The day after I rolled it down the innerโ€ฆ

Pros
  • JVCC GLW Glow in the Dark Tape is a flexible polyester laminated glow in the dark film with a permanent adhesive on one side. Afterglow pigments absorb and store the energy of ordinary ambient light. In sudden darkness, the tape is immediately visible.
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly

Comparing 4 Types of Light Up Bands, "Docooler " #1

I reviewed the four types of light strips sold here at Revain, here are the results with photos: I found "Docooler" to be the best in terms of brightness, duration and value. However, JVCC was the worst. All bands glowed for at least 6 hours, but the intensity of the glow at 6 hours varied widely. I have photos right after the lights go out, 10 minutes later and 20 minutes later. I'll post a "6 o'clock" photo later, but someone turned on the light before I woke up and put the tapes in, so Iโ€ฆ

Pros
  • JVCC Glow in the Dark Band fully charges within 30 minutes of exposure to artificial or natural light and glows brightest during the first 15-30 minutes after exposure to light Activation, but remains clearly visible in absolutely dark room for eyes adapted to night mode for up to 6 hours. The tape has excellent UV resistance and shows no significant deterioration when used outdoors. The luminescence system used is non-radioactive and non-toxic.
Cons
  • No Power
