Should have lasted longer

I bought this in May and it has already stopped working. It's too late to return it and since this is the only amp I can use I'm forced to buy another one. Because of the short shelf life for the price, I am giving this rating.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Better than Plantronics Vista

My second Plantronics Vista series amp died. I decided to try this (and a Jabra headset) as an alternative and couldn't be happier. It offers superior sound quality and feel compared to Vista with similar functionality. One missing feature is that this device requires an external power supply to operate.

Not what I expected

I was hoping this would allow me to switch between my phone and computer on the fly to use the same headset. It's not like this. You have to manually set it up to be one or the other. Jabra sells another Link 180 that offers a headset for your phone or computer if you need that option. From the description it looked like the 850 could do it but I couldn't figure it out. I liked that it had a mute button on the box along with a volume control. When I set it up for a computer and used it for…

Glad I did - Audio Conferencing

I have 2 of these devices - one in my office at work and one in my home office. I have a Jabra GN2125 binaural headset that I use for both. I have a moderate to severe hearing loss and often find it difficult to hear on the phone, especially at work and on conference calls. This audio processor and headset have made my life so much easier. We have Plantronics wireless headsets in the office, but I could never get enough volume on them, so I bought my own. I originally bought a Plantronics audio

Very good amp for my corded phone

I've only used two amps, both plantronics, one for a job I did years ago and the other I use for work from home bought from. I was happy with the working amp so I decided to go back to using Plantronics for my home unit but found the sound quality to be poor from the start. I just assumed I hadn't found the right settings, but after using this Jabra amp I think my last amp might be faulty. It sounds great and is fully functional. People commented that the sound quality was also very good from…

  • Good product for the price

Better than Plantronics

I purchased a Plantronics product and it was not working well with my Uniden phone. It made a dull sound that couldn't be corrected or adjusted, so I traded it in for this product. This one works great and has good volume controls and mute on top with three settings on the back. This device is also powered by connecting directly to your computer's USB port - no batteries or AC adapter required - and you can also plug in an earphone (on the back) to power it directly to your Skype account or to…
