More unbalanced than most

This cracker is unbalanced. It's too far forward. I had to weigh it in Bach to use it. It's pretty big too.

A beautifully made instrument.

A Clapper Point Press is required for a sewing project. I couldn't buy it in town, we only have a "fabric" shop and they didn't stock them. Thank goodness for Revane! This cracker is perfect! This is how we did it and it works great!

Pros
  • Fits many
Cons
  • A nuisance

Essential tool for professional results

The only complaint I have is that it's a little awkward to use as a shutter just because it's big and difficult to hold. But I mean, that's nothing compared to his efficiency at work. This is a great cracker, as well as a must-have machine for ironing seams.

Pros
  • Complete set
Cons

Every dressmaker's dream

This tool is made with love and precision. This is every dressmaker's dream. Heavy enough to be used as a flapper on one side and narrow enough to even out the seam allowance or rip/press around the edge. Slim and durable, and hey, it's made right here in America! True old-fashioned American quality! Worth every penny, durable tool.

Cons
  • A few little things

Tailor Press

I love this sewing tool! I make baby clothes and it's perfect for ironing seams and small dots. I'm very satisfied with this product. It is very well made, good quality and heavier than I expected. I would not change anything about this product. It fully met my expectations and I recommend it to anyone who is serious about sewing.

Not my grandma's spot press!

Holy smoke, these things have been used by the last few generations. No matter what wood it is made of, it is soft and absorbs moisture. The wood has the texture, feel and smell of softwood. The moisture lifted the texture of the wood, becoming rough and sticking to the fabric. All after about 3 months of moderate use. Very disappointing. I'm glad other reviewers got a quality product. I unfortunately no.
