Legs only fit open tank

Due to the shape of the legs, this light is only suitable for open tanks where the lip is narrow enough to fit the grooves. I gave up my legs and just rested on my vivarium. Good light too.

An affordable choice that works

Very compact and lightweight. Simple design, beautifully illuminates my 2.5 betta tank. The first week of work went smoothly, without any flickering. Didn't increase the water temperature. The construction looks solid. In general very satisfied.

It's a decent little light

It charges via USB. I would prefer if it had a regular power connection. it's no good for anything other than low-light plants. I had to mount it criss-cross because it wasn't long enough to light my entire 5 gallon tank which was mounted lengthwise. But it really works, it's well built. I'm happy with that after all is said and done.

It won't sit straight.

For a smaller aquarium like 10 or 15 gallon this lamp would fit, but it will not fit our standard 29 gallon aqueon. It's not as bright as we'd like and will absolutely not sit directly on the tank no matter what you do. A flexible "leg" simply cannot be straight and have a slight seat height. Either one or the other. People with OCD (like me) beware.

Brilliant idea: fish and aquatic animals

I ordered this unit because I needed a compact form factor and high light output for my sea gel aquarium. This thing took forever to get here, but the jelly beans sang "You light up my life" when it was finally installed. I was expecting something brighter, but at least it spreads the light evenly enough to reach every corner of the tank. I'll probably order a second one; I hope he comes before the jelly gets stuck.
