Description of 💾 JacobsParts M.2 to PCIe NVMe and SATA SSD Dual Adapter Card | 2242 2260 2280 M2 Drive | Desktop PCI Express x4 x8 x16 Slot | Includes Brackets

Connect an M.2 NVMe and/or M.2 SATA drive to a desktop computer. Take advantage of NVMe SSD speeds in a desktop computer. M-Key NVMe and AHCI drives interface directly with the PCIe bus. B-Key SATA drives require the use of a SATA cable (not included). Fits a PCIe x4, x8, or x16 slot. Robust design includes mounting brackets and a heat dissipating PCB. Adapts the connectors only. The M.2 drive communicates directly with the PCIe and/or SATA bus. Both slots can be used simultaneously. Compatible with 2230 (30mm), 2242 (42mm), 2260 (60mm), and 2280 (80mm) M.2 drives.

Ideal for vertical GPU mounting

This is a really simple and inexpensive PCIe to NVME expansion card that works great. I have four others (of a different brand and design) that work just as well. The peculiarity of this model is that it does not take up much space. Due to the smaller than usual form factor, there is a lot of space between the motherboard and my vertical GPU setup. The cards I already have don't fit in the same space due to the vertical GPU setup.

Pros
  • Suitable for PCIe x4, x8 or x16 slot. Rugged design with mounting brackets and heat-dissipating circuit board.
Cons
  • For the old

Wouldn't post on a newer PC but ended up booting from M-Key SSD on an older computer. The cheapest adapter card I could find. It works so I'm happy. Proved SSD speed for some Luddites still sticking to their 2006 Dell mainframes.

Pros
  • Fits connectors only. The M.2 drive communicates directly with the PCIe and/or SATA bus. Both slots can be used at the same time.
Cons
  • Crumpled

Works perfectly! suitable for memory card adapter

Arrived quickly in perfect condition. Installed a 1TB Western Digital Blue M.2 and connected it to the PCIe x4 slot on the motherboard. Run Win10 Disc Management to partition and format my original M.2 WDC Blue boot drive as a secondary storage drive. It's been working great ever since and I'm HAPPY! Transfer data between two M.2 drives at over 1.0 GB/s! I also noticed a very BRIGHT green activity LED inside the PC. Quality product, good price, well made!

Pros
  • M-Key NVMe and AHCI drives communicate directly with the PCIe bus. B-Key SATA drives require a SATA cable (not included).
Cons
  • For pensioners

Works great - computers and accessories

Ideal for PCIEX4 slot. I wouldn't use it for a pciex8 or pciex16 slot as there are adapters or where you can add 2 NVMe drives to a pciex8 slot or up to 4 to a pciex16 slot. You can also purchase higher capacity adapters for more lane slots to save bandwidth and allow for future storage expansion. I use this for 1TB NVMe SSD media. I moved 500GB of data to this drive from another NVMe connected to the motherboard and it took about 3 minutes. There is one bright LED that can ruin your RGB theme…

Pros
  • Connect an M.2 NVMe and/or M.2 SATA drive to your desktop computer. Bring the speed of an NVMe SSD to your desktop.
Cons
  • There are disadvantages
