Description of ๐Ÿ“ก JacobsParts 5-Pack D1 Mini NodeMCU LUA MicroPython WiFi ESP8266 ESP-12 WeMos Microcontroller: Powerful Connectivity in a Bundle

The D1 Mini is an ESP8266-based microcontroller featuring 11 digital input/output pins, a single analog input pin. It offers the convenience of a micro-USB connection for both power and data (running at 3.3V), and despite its size has built-in WiFi and 4MB of flash memory. It can be programmed with Lua / NodeMCU, MicroPython, and other leading micro-controller development platforms. It supports both serial and OTA programming. Includes three types of headers to support various configurations: Female, Male, Long Female. 5V power from MicroUSB connector is internally converted to 3.3V. Digital I/O Pins: 11, all pins have interrupt/PWMI2C/one-wire support except D0 โ€ข Analog Input: 1 (3.2V max input). Dimensions: 34mm x 25,5mm x 6.8mm โ€ข Weight: Approx. 5g excluding connectors

2 boards don't work, 3rd broke after an hour

with a name. 2 boards didn't work right away and 3 didn't work for more than an hour. I was able to revive the 3rd but the other 2 are still broken.

Pros
  • Dimensions: 34mm x 25.5mm x 6.8mm โ€ข Weight: approx. 5g without connectors
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

First WiFi Arduino projects on ESP8266.

The only problem for the first user was that I didn't know the difference between esp32 and esp8266. Once I installed the esp8266 boards and settled on the d1 mini, they worked with no issues. Large selection of plug and socket connectors.

Pros
  • MicroUSB 5V power converted to 3.3V internally
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Works, fake but still solid.

These are copies of Wemos D1 mini but work properly. I'm not sure if it's R1 or R2, although they seem to have pin mapping issues in the Arduino, but once a mapping is found it's easy enough to work with. I use about 40 of them. I like them well enough that way. One star for fake and pin matching. I particularly like the variety of solderable connection options.

Pros
  • Digital I/O pins: 11, break all pins/PWMI2C/single wire support except D0 โ€ข Analog input: 1 (3.2V max input)
Cons
  • Approximately

So many applications in single board computers

I have bought at least 6 of these connectors. You are so versatile. I've made a WiFi extender, a WiFi switch that can turn lights on or off, or whatever, from anywhere on your phone or tablet, a scanner, and other cool stuff. And it's so cheap compared to buying ready-made products.

Pros
  • Includes three types of connectors to support different configurations: female, male, long female
Cons
  • Makes me nervous
