I wanted light blue, so I used an entire pack with about twice the material I needed (10 pounds, for example). I also rinsed the material before painting, dried it and then moistened it again. I have mixed feelings about this product. I originally bought this color to match the color of my niece's doll to her skin tone. But alas, instead of at least a slightly brown character, we got a Monster High doll instead. Her joints turned brown, but her arms and shins turned olive, and her head, torso, and thighs turned a dark coffee color. Very disappointed, did not use to change the doll's skin. I bought this color because it was intended for use in the washing machine and I wanted the least amount of fuss. The instructions were inside the box, which was interesting as you had to rip open the box and lay it flat to read the instructions printed inside. But the tips came in handy, and the clothes I dyed turned out almost the way I wanted! A very affordable price for what I got although the interior of my car is a lovely navy blue with spots.
