Paint doesn't hold up well, probably expired

I hate to give a bad review but this paint was a waste of money. I have been dying ties professionally for 3 years and decided to try this color because it ships faster than what I usually buy. However, this was a mistake on my part. This dye will not turn black even if used 5 times more than necessary. It just looks like a blurry gray-blue color. This dye appears to be old/expired. I'm sorry I spent my money on this so don't buy unless you want washed out colors.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Exorbitant price

Not the pure black I want. Washed immediately.

Before painting I used soda to wash the sheets. I mixed urea with water before dyeing. I used 4 times the amount of dye and soaked the leaves overnight. I have lavender leaves. The color also washed off my skin pretty quickly, so I say it's color. Earlier when I had black paint, the powder pigment was almost red, not black. When I opened it I was…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

You get what you pay for

I've always used Procyon dyes and I usually get them from Dharma. However, when I saw Revain's much lower price, I placed an order immediately. When I first used this paint everything seemed normal. I mixed it up like I always do, soaked the shirts in soda and let the color sit for 48 hours. When I washed it off I was shocked to see that a lot of the color was washed off. Thinking it was a fluke, I tried a few more times with almost twice the amount of powder I normally use and still didn't get
