Very weak with 25 watt E12 Edison bulb. I've ordered a 6W E12 LED for it and it's still not bright enough, just ordered a 15W E12 LED and we'll see if that fixes the problem. I researched and tried different magnifications before settling on this 5x magnification. In my opinion 7x and 10x are way too much, plus you have to get very close to the mirror for it to focus. Installation was very easy. Drill 3/8" holes for the molybdenum screws and slowly tighten while pressing down firmly on the mounting plate to avoid tearing the drywall. Do not buy this product. If I could give this product 0 stars, I definitely would. This is the SECOND defective product I have received. Both had the same fault, the light switch didn't work. Rather than sending this item back a second time, I repaired it myself, but it is clear that these products were never tested in a factory in China or once they arrived here in the US.
