For the price this is a good mirror. It works great and the magnifying glass is very handy as it moves back when you don't need it. It magnifies really well. The mirror is very light, so it can be easily moved. I don't feel like the light is doing anything. I was hoping I could see my skin more evenly because I usually have a window or light on one side so it's not even. It's not like this. When I first got this mirror, the lighting was so incredibly bright it hurt my eyes. I never received the batteries that were supposed to ship with the product. I put new batteries in the mirror. Update: 6 years later still with this mirror! I don't worry about plugging them in anymore as I'm sensitive to light and they've always been too bright for me, but it still works. I bought this to apply makeup in a non-powered closet. It's on a shelf at shoulder height, so I needed a mirror on a short stand.
