I bought it for my aquarium. This works very well if you push the hose all the way over the connector. Some force is required to push the hose all the way onto the fitting. I am very happy with this black hose. I use a black background in most of my aquariums, preferring it to a clear one which tends to show algae and other stains.

Whilst I like the way you get it it doesn't seem to brittle as quickly as some of the clean brands that will depending on the climate goes broken quickly. I am one and I think it has more to do with cheap plugs. Sometimes it slips off cheap short fittings on air pumps. I prefer to use ribbed metal connectors and on some single tanks with short plain male ends I just take some sandpaper and scrape them off a little and it all works great. I would be happy again

The description says it's flexible, but I wasn't expecting the rubber to be more pliable than most rubber bands. The problem is that wherever the hose hangs over the rim, like the rim of my buckets, it sags under its own weight and cuts off some of the air supply. I assume that over time this can almost completely cut off the airflow, but I don't want to test it. I bought 200ft of this Airline for hydroponic use. Several times I noticed a hissing noise coming from the air pump manifold. Upon inspection, I found that the hose underneath had snapped. It looked like it was still plugged in, but air was escaping through the gap. I checked some of the buckets today and some had an air line blown into the water.
