Pros

Cons
  • Available in white only

Variable lamp life

Incandescent lamps typically have a variable life. Some last a few months, others just a week or two. But the price is right, and as long as they don't burn out, they do a great job of making room for the roast.

Pros
  • Very fast delivery
Cons
  • Socket required

Don't waste your time or money.

First of all, be very careful with the amount of heat these 25 watt bulbs produce. I first measured the heat on these bulbs at 6-8 inches and stopped measuring at 109F. As for the UVB and/or UVA rays produced by these lamps, there is absolutely no display on the portable UVA/UVB meter.

Pros
  • Try for a year
Cons
  • ill thought out

Turtle Aquarium Lamp: Reptiles and Amphibians

First lamp in over two months, no problems. I have timer 8 off. 16 incl. Follow recommendations not to turn on-off-on when it's hot. No filament problems with this first lamp. No bulb that wattage for a 15 gallon turtle tank. The next order may increase to 75 watts. Very happy with the product and fast delivery from the seller.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Poor instructions

So far, so good. for heat lamps

Red-Eared Slider in a 60 gallon aquarium 70% full of swimming turtles. The turtle didn't actually use the dock to bask on the LEDs designed for the aquarium. still on my first lightbulb. screwed right into one of those aluminum dome rigs and I just put it on top of the glass dome just above the turtle's landing pad. Within 2 hours the turtle was keeping warm and loving it.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Problem

Low UV, mostly incandescent

At first I thought there was no UV, but I was able to measure a UV index of about 2 with a sensor (not shown) directly on the lamp, but there was no UV to about 4 inches apart. I also took a spectrum (pictured) that matched an incandescent bulb, but my spectrometer wasn't set up to measure UV, so I'm not sure what the UV profile looks like. The first bulb burned out after 30 hours.

Pros
  • Solid construction
Cons
  • No automatic

does a good job. turtle loves it.

I bought it for my granddaughter turtle. He loves to sunbathe underneath. It is very small, only 1 inch long. The aviary is only 18 inches long and about 12 inches wide. This 25 watts is enough for their turtle because the enclosure is small and this light is only 6 inches from where the turtles bask. more than 25 watts would be too hot. Hopefully this gives others an idea of the thermal performance for a small case.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Expensive
